About the Position: Conduct, perform, or manage basic and applied research and engineering, acquisition, integrated logistics materiel readiness management, advanced development and maintenance support functions for all assigned (aviation/missile weapons)systems/subsystems and associated equipment. .
Duties
Managing Department of the Army (DA) test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) acquisition, logistics, and support and support Army and DOD readiness through depot maintenance.
Serves as a Program Operations Officer providing guidance and direction to a group of analyst and support personnel.
Performs the full range of administrative and technical supervisory duties.
Supervising the organizations quality assurance programs.
Execute projects and/or studies within established financial and time constraints.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- You must obtain and maintain a SECRET Security clearance.
- A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position require TDY up to 5% at the time.
- Position may be designated Emergency Essential (EE) in support of mobilization and wartime mission.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the NH-02 or GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes gathering, analyzing, and presenting facts to plan and organize work and the budget execution for the organization; Managing Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) logistics; AND providing guidance and direction to a group of analyst and support personnel.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
