Duties
Determine requirements for revision of the librarian instructional program and the development of new training programs.
Confer with curriculum designers, course writers, instructors, and subject-matter experts to produce various training products.
Coordinate the work of teaching and curriculum staff to ensure the application of proven methods and techniques.
Supervise and direct the work of assigned employees.
Perform other tasks as requested.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is Required.
- Selectee must pass a drug test prior to appointment.
- Males born after 12/03/59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Selectee may be required to serve a one year probationary period.
- Selectee must be able to pass a Public Trust background investigation.
- Confidential Financial Disclosure report may be required.
Qualifications
To qualify for the Supervisory Training Administrator, PG -1712-14, you must meet the following requirements:
One year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the PG-13 in the federal service which includes the following:
- Formulating, interpreting, and implementing policy
- Implementing policy and recommending changes in program goals and policies to upper management
- Planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing work in situations where numerous diverse demands are present
- Leading a team for instructional and/or educational programming
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education
Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade level.
