Duties

Receives stock; checks for over, short or damaged shipments; completes receiving documents; and moves to storage areas. Identifies and rotates stock including hazardous materials, ensuring special storage requirements have been met. Verifies inventory and shipping documents; independently prepares shipping documents and related reports. May operate a forklift in storing and rotating stock. Issue materials in accordance with established procedures

Requirements

• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
• Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
• Performs work on hard surfaces and in work areas that require standing, stooping, bending. May be required to work at rapid pace for long periods of time.
• Frequently lifts and carries supplies and equipment that weighs up to 40 pounds. Assistance is available from other workers and equipment for moving items over 40 pounds.
• Ability to work an irregular schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and split shifts.
• Required to wear safety equipment and clothing appropriate for this position.

Qualifications

Qualification Requirements: Applicant must have 12 months in material handling and supply activities or related work experience. Highly Desirable Qualifications 1. Possesses knowledge of ordering and receiving food products. 2. Possesses experience issuing food for catering events and cafeterias. 3. Familiar with ordering food and supplies from multiple suppliers.
