About the Position: Materials Handler Supervisor provides broad instructions, priorities, policies, and time limits. Makes routine decisions regarding execution of policy which has been interpreted or established at the next higher supervisory level. Work is reviewed to assure an adequate quantity and quality of work as well as efficient accomplishment of work within established priorities and controls.

Duties

Ensure workload and personnel are shifted/adjusted to meet the demands during deployments or medical emergencies. Manage/train employees on all automated products assigned to their area, such as Theater Enterprise MANAGEMENT System (TEWLS). Assure that material is ordered and delivered to work sites so as not to delay work. Determine equipment, supplies, and maintenance required.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires a Pre-Appointment Physical.
  • Incumbent may be required to report to work during periods of inclement weather.
  • A favorable National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) may be required for this position.

Ability to perform the most difficult and complex Materials Handler Supervisor duties serving as technical and administrative supervisor; planning reoccurring work schedules for employees. Manage automation systems such as Total Ammunition Management Information System (TAMMIS), Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS), Customer Area Inventory Management (CAIM), Carousel, Theater Enterprise-Wide Logistics System (TEWLS), Omnicell Point-of- Use Supply Systems administration, and any new warehouse equipment. Establishing deadlines and priorities based on general work schedules provided by higher level supervisor. Ensuring warehouse personnel are up-to-date on required training for medical gases and safety requirements and procedure are met. I am skilled in conducting applicant interviews for vacancies, making selections participating on an internal hiring board. Reviewing work for completion. I am considered an expert and work with a high degree of independence.
