You will serve as a MANAGEMENT SUPPORT SPECIALIST in the NAVAL OCEANOGRAPHY OPERATIONS COMMAND of NAVAL OCEANOGRAPHY SPECIAL WARFARE CENTER.
Duties
You will assist in the administration of the command Manager's Internal Control (MIC) Program.
You will find ways to continuously improve productivity and/or increase the quality of the command work performed.
You will develop and maintain command MIC program guidance and annual assessable unit review schedules, procedures and training.
You will record personnel entries regarding pay, training, career counseling, etc. via the Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS).
You will assist in the management of the Command Ethics Program and compile Ethics reports and submit to higher headquarters.
You will provide actively participate in departmental staff meetings and discussions.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience utilizing management principles, organizational theory, and techniques of analysis and evaluation to identify, analyze, and recommend solutions;
Experience reviewing incoming correspondence to determine appropriate action and checking outgoing correspondence for accuracy and adherence to policies;
Experience utilizing systems like the Defense Travel System to manage transportation and lodging for customers;
Experience operating office automation software to produce documents and performing SharePoint administrative duties;
Experience preparing and presenting reports and briefings on program status and make recommendations.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-09: Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D that is related to this position being filled.
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
