You will serve as an Inventory Management Specialist in the Weapons & Energetics Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Duties
You will receive, review, and monitor incoming requisitions and take appropriate action to ensure completion.
You will respond to due-in, load schedule/plan, vessel allowances, Foreign Military Sales (FMS}, renovation, rework, assembly/disassembly, researching and coordinating corrections as needed to ensure appropriate financial data is applied.
You will originate and/or respond to correspondence to appropriate activities and maintain communication with ships and activities of all types.
You will provide detailed technical advice and assistance in areas of specialized ordnance management to support the Fleet, Navy Region Southwest, and other customers.
You will manage conventional ammunition and associated components and hardware to maintain accountability of assets.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate:
GS-07 Level:
At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of an Inventory Management Specialist. Specialized experiences must include duties related to the following: (1) Demonstrating basic familiarity with ordnance inventory systems and requirements; (2) Demonstrating the ability to understand complex instructions and perform the required tasks; and (3) Demonstrating the ability to work with and advise multiple agencies on a daily basis.
GS-09 Level:
At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of an Inventory Management Specialist. Specialized experiences must include duties related to the following: (1) Demonstrating experience providing detailed technical advice and assistance in areas of specialized ordnance management; (2) Demonstrating the ability to understand complex instructions and perform the required tasks; (3) Exhibiting the ability to perform analytical research for special projects and reports, such as resolving reporting and in-transit discrepancies; and (4) Demonstrating the ability to work with and advise multiple agencies on a daily basis.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-07 Level:
Successful completion of 1 full year of graduate level education
OR
Successful completion of a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
GS-09 Level:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D., that is related to this position being filled.
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
