Duties

You will develop, coordinate and maintain comprehensive training plans for Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit THREE (EODMU THREE) and EODMU THREE DET MDS (Mobile Diving and Salvage) based on operation requirements and mobilization readiness. You will serve as the primary coordinator for training readiness to ensure training resources are prioritized, validated, and reported in accordance with commanders training guidance. You will interface with multiple internal and external organizations and provide clear, concise, and accurate training readiness information from multiple systems as it relates to readiness and resource requirements. You will be responsible for performing various administrative and supervisory functions relative to the personnel assigned to the team. You will develop and advise on training plans, programs, and policies in support of readiness plans and operations for all assigned and attached units in accordance with applicable HHQ and unit unique training requirements. You will exercise broad authority and organizational control to plan, direct, and supervise training programs, including actions to determine, allocate, and account for the effective use of training resources. You will develop and implement budgets and fiscal guidance for Operation and Maintenance, Navy (OMN) funds to support Commander, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Group ONE (COMEODGRU ONE).

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying knowledge of training management and associated systems, personal computer hardware and software to utilize and administer training and office automation systems to develop reports, administer training functions/policy/guidance, advise management, and ensure systems capabilities are maximized to support unit training management.
