Duties
Instructs participants in riding horses. Works with all seats and level of riders, to include jumping.
Organizes classes, lesson plans, determines skill and knowledge levels of participants. Keeps horses clipped, groomed and schooled.
Assists in keeping tack room clean and organized and in working order. Responsible for preparation of horses and cooling down.
Assists with overseeing the facility where the horses are cared for and maintained.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements

- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
- A Medical Examination is required.
- Must be available to work varying and/or rotating shifts to include days, weekends, and evenings.
Qualifications
1. An undergraduate degree with a major course of study in a related field (e.g. Equestrian or Equine Studies).
OR
2. Experience that provides evidence of the ability to instruct students in the use of equipment, principles, or practices of the subject or occupation. This experience may have been gained as a teacher or instructor; in on-the-job supervision or instruction of subordinates or fellow workers; or in work involving application of the principles, practices, and techniques in horse riding.

Highly Preferred Criteria:
1. Experience in Hunter/Jumper, and Equitation riding styles in private and group lessons.
