As a Strategic Communications Project Manager at the GS-0301-14 level, you will be part of Office of the Inspector General,Office of Personnel Management. If selected, you will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of internal and external publications and reports, ensuring consistency with OIG strategy, commitments, and goals.
Duties
Drafts written information for a variety of audiences to include senior level management officials within the IG community, criminal investigators, auditors, evaluators, attorneys, and human resource professionals.
Participates in the development and implementation of OIG-wide internal and external communications strategies and initiatives, consistent with strategic goals and objectives.
Oversee the production (i.e., planning, designing, reviewing, and editing) of all OPM OIG publications including the Semiannual Report to Congress, Open Recommendations Compendium, and Top Management Challenges.
Reviews and edits various deliverables prepared by various components in the OIG before final Deputy IG, or IG approval.
Determines the need for new or revised standard operating procedures, appropriate guidelines, and strategies.
Qualifications
For the GS 14: You must have one year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the private or public sector) performing ALL of the following tasks: 1) Drafting clear and concise documents such as advisories, talking points, Questions and Answers (Qs and As), power-points, briefing materials, memoranda, and internal communications materials to convey information or clarify organization operations, programs, or activities to specialized audiences; 2) Developing internal reporting and publication management procedures or guidelines; 3) Analyzing acquired information about various subjects to present in a form suitable for the intended audience.
