You will serve as an INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST in the NAVTECHTRACENDET.
Duties
You will manage support operations (e.g., troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining systems, inventory, technology upgrades) to ensure system or application availability.
You will develop risk analysis for new and current information systems, network software, or hardware.
You will manage information system configurations to ensure baseline configurations are maintained for hosted hardware and software systems.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Diagnosing, troubleshooting and/or repairing detachment-owned personnel computers and assisting detachments personnel in any IT related problems; 2) Maintaining an inventory of all ADP equipment and software by location, and controlling distribution to end users based on mission priorities; 3) Acting as primary advisor on IT hardware and software systems, product acquisition and licensing requirements; and 4) Conducting IT and IA training when required by host service policy.

Education
- Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or
- Three (3) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
