Duty Location: Boise, Idaho
Duties
Assists and supports the Environmental Services Manger for a variety of assigned project coordination and program support activities.
Supervises a team of professional staff and student trainees and assigns work based upon priorities, complexity, and nature of requests.
Supports education, enrichment, and training programs designed to provide maximum opportunities for employee advancement.
Identifies, recommends, and coordinates long and short-range plans and objectives to assure the timely, efficient, and effective completion program support and coordination functions.
Prepares and/or oversees the preparation of memorandum, white papers, and other documentation necessary to support a wide range of multi-disciplinary teams and projects within the ESO.
Improves the overall efficiency of the ESO program coordination function through innovative use of tools and technology.
Qualifications

To qualify at the GS-12, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal Service. Examples of specialized experience include supervising or leading a diverse team of students and professional employees with limited oversight by assigning, overseeing, and reviewing work related to program manager prioritization, organizational practices, policies and regulations; facilitating collaboration between managers, staff, and stakeholders to coordinate and support environmental compliance implementation.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Time-In-Grade: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower-grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). Applicants eligible under the Land Management Workforce Flexibility Act (LMWFA) are not required to meet time-in-grade restrictions in order to be considered.
