This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of the Administrator in Washington, D.C.The Senior Engineer/Architect is responsible for working within the agency to establish cloud-first application architecture standards that will scale for SBA programs of all sizes and scale
Duties
Employs fundamental project management methodologies and concepts to ensure all established timelines are met on one or more major IT Projects
Leads enterprise wide, cross-division and cross-branch complex IT projects
Establishes set of architectural standards for all new custom-built applications.
Serves as the application and security Technical Lead that ensures security measures are used during all stages of application lifecycle.
Communicate verbally with senior executives, program leadership and key stakeholders within the agency and throughout the federal government and industry.
Requirements

- You may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
Qualifications
GS-15: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector:
Managing IT projects, teams or programs of various complexity; AND
Identifying, documenting, and solving complicated IT issues; AND
Establishing scalable, cloud-first application architecture standards; AND
Applying enterprise architecture principles to lead and deliver IT digital services products; AND
Communicate and collaborate effectively with a variety of customers and counterparts.
