About the Position: Serve as Administrative Support Assistant in the Business Operations and Integration Division, Directorate of Public Works on Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington State.

Duties

Utilize the credit card to purchase necessary supplies, services and equipment. Manages filing system for the Division in accordance with established procedures. Coordinate personnel actions by utilizing Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS) and AutoNOA. Ensures completion of mandatory training requirement using a tracking tool. Maintain time and attendance for employees using ATAAPS automated system to ensure there are no time-card discrepancies. Manage project approval folders using a program such as General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS). Assist employees with creating travel documents using Defense Travel System (DTS). Compose correspondence such as letters, endorsements, memorandum, and reports from readily available information. Prepare briefing charts ranging from simple word charts to complex charts with integrated graphics. Inputs required data into automated system to complete job order documents for division chief approval.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
