Duties

Oversee operations at the textiles warehouse. Ensure large scale logistics systems and handle a high volume of inventory stock levels, storage, receiving and shipments are processed according to directives and established policy and procedures. Responsible for establishing and maintaining the Textile Vocational Training Program. Ensure that long range goals and objectives are included into the five year financial plan. Approves purchases based on funding availability and approved budget boundaries. Follows procedures for maintaining and forwarding accurate end of month documentation to USDB Fund Financial Manager. Reviews and monitors Textiles financial data for correctness and accountability. Maintains internal control of all functional areas and assure compliance. Set productivity goals, place inventory orders, set up shipments, resolve logistical challenges by communicating with clients, transportation providers, manufactures and suppliers. Keep track of all NAFI property assigned to the Textile Warehouse, verify all incoming and shop issued purchases, have ability to physically load and unload cargo. Provide continuous visual supervision while maintaining custody and control of assigned inmates. Ensure detail safety program is in compliance with applicable OSHA/CAC/and MCC requirements. Manage staff, vehicles and other equipment, oversee productivity, security, sanitation and administrative functions of the Textiles Warehouse. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Have the emotional stability, ability and willingness to work closely with MCC Inmates.
• Maintain a record free from civilian felony convictions and court martial convictions for any offense that carries a maximum authorized sentence to confinement of one (1) year or more.
• Willingness and ability to work in and around MCC Inmates while also in accordance with the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA).
• Appointment subject to favorable suitability determination, IAW DODI 1325.7 para 6.14.3.
• Must posses a valid Class B CDL, or able to obtain within 60 days of employment.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
