This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: The pay band NH-03 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-12 to 13. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities.
Duties
Manages the execution of logistic support activities.
Serves as the designated Logistics Support Manager, Action Officer, or Site Manager for a multitude of communications and electronics equipment and system programs.
Conducts periodic internal reviews to evaluate effectiveness of forward support programs.
Provides recommended alternatives to accomplish fielding and training milestones developed by Program Managers.
Recommends corrective or preventative measures as appropriate.
Represents the Command on the implementation and operation of multiple contractual programs.
Tracks and analyzes Centers performance indicator/metrics to detect trends and isolate causes for declining performance.
Gathers and analyzes data for inclusion in quarterly Command review and analysis ensuring data accuracy and compliance with Center and Command objectives.
Monitors or establishes deadlines, priority programs and operation trend.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics certification within 36 months as of entrance on duty.
- This position requires temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 25% of the time.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent periodically travel up to 25% of the time, on short notice, using the fastest mode of transportation available.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to routinely travel, sometimes on short notice, to worldwide locations using the most expedient mode of transportation available (including military and commercial aircraft).

Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-02). Specialized experience: Experience using automated data processing concepts, systems capabilities, and economic usage to effectively complete assignments. Experience evaluating policies, procedures and regulations for applicability and compliance. Experience establishing and maintaining cost and schedule milestones consistent with program objectives. Experience coordinating with management to establish realistic time schedules, resource requirements, milestones, and accomplishments.
