As a Supervisory Analyst at the GS-0301-14 level, you will be part of Healthcare and Insurance, Office of Personnel Management.
This position is offering a duty location of Washington DC or for candidates outside the Washington DC commuting area, Remote may be available. Duties
If selected, you will be responsible for leading a team of OPM employees in a results oriented environment with high visibility to ensure the effective operation of HI programs. Expected to provide consultation and expert advice on healthcare and other insurance programs, operations, systems, processes, and policies.
Please note that this Office is filling 2 Supervisory Analyst positions. One is focused on Policy, and one is focused on Systems Development/Implementation. See below for details:
Policy: Develops and analyzes complex written policies, strategies, and guidance in support of benefits related to Healthcare and Insurance Programs.
Systems Development/Implementation: Develops and documents business requirements for stakeholders for the development of applications and/or systems that support Healthcare and Insurance programs and administration.
Additional Duties Performed by Both Offices:
Assures subordinates carry out required work, reporting progress or any issues to the Program Manager.
Leads complex projects or cross-functional teams as assigned.
Develops or supports regulatory and legislative activities.
Proposes actions to management or leadership concerning issues affecting Healthcare and Insurance programs.
Researches, develops, or briefs on complex employee insurance policy topics.
Serve as the liaison with internal and external stakeholders that perform critical services for Healthcare and Insurance programs
Qualifications
For the GS 14: You must have one year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the private or public sector) performing all the following: 1) Advising leadership of efforts related to health insurance and other benefit programs, operations, systems, processes, or policies; 2) Providing input on health insurance and other benefit programs policy making decisions; 3) Conducting analysis to identify impacts, make recommendations, or proposing actions to management and leadership concerning issues affecting health insurance and other benefit programs; 4) Leading a team responsible for administering health insurance and other benefit programs. (Note: Your resume must fully support your qualifying experience)
Merit promotion applicants must meet time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS14 level.
