This position serves as the Director of Professional Services for the Hopi Health Care Center, located in Polacca, AZ. The Director of Professional Services provides leadership to the Pharmacy, Nutrition, Imaging/Radiology, Social Services, Physical Therapy, Laboratory and Medical Records departments. Reports to the Chief Executive Officer.
Duties

Manage allied health services as well as the full range of administrative services that involves making and implementing administrative decisions directly affecting patient care.
Provide expert staff guidance and program assessment following standards of care and practices required for providing inpatient and ambulatory care.
Exercise responsibility for the assessment, planning, development, organization, integration, administration and evaluation of the professional services programs.
Develop justification for program elements to include resource requirements, priorities and needs for professional groups or agencies to provide professional input and recommendations, solicit support, and obtains commitments for action.
Serve as the principal advisor to the CEO and Executive staff regarding program requirements with participating as a member of the Executive Leadership Committee among other operational committees.
Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
Education: Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree: major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, GS-14:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Examples include: Providing supervisory guidance and leadership to management and working collaboratively to develop and implement internal program plans and procedures with incorporating goals and objectives of the departments.
Time In Grade
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
