Duties
This position is located under the Office of Management, Financial Management Division, Travel and Card Management Branch, in Washington, District of Columbia.
Serving as Branch Chief, provides expert advice, authoritative policy interpretation and coordinates the integrated charge card program that improves the effectiveness, efficiency and overall productivity of ATF procurement, travel, fleet transactions and the permanent change of station operations.
Qualifications
To qualify for 15, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-14. Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. Specialized experience include:
Managing a travel/relocation program and integrated charge card program in compliance with Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) and Government Charge Card Abuse Prevention Act of 2012 (Charge Card Act) AND;
Making evaluative analyses and recommendations on all aspects of financial management including overall objectives, work operations and progress, resource estimates and utilization, AND;
Developing and advising in budget formulation/execution, and the laws/regulations, and practices of government contracting and procurement, in order to perform significant resource management functions, AND;
Supervising or leading to provide guidance to a diverse staff, AND;
Communicating orally and writing in order to effectively represent the Bureau at conferences and meetings.
