You will serve as a LEAD ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (OA) in the Administrative/Personnel Support Division of Recruit Training Command (RTC), Great Lakes, IL..
Duties
You will provide overall technical and administrative direction to Command Pay and Personnel Assistants (CPPAs).
You will perform a variety of record keeping functions in support of organizational programs, projects, administrative and military pay and personnel support.
You will coordinate all personnel functions within the operating departments of the command to provide the most effective support.
You will serve as the subject matter expert on personnel programs, providing program oversight, training and guidance to junior team members.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Interpreting military personnel rules, regulations, policies, and procedures to resolve interrelated support work, regulatory questions and research issues in preparing actions/documents for military personnel packages, documents and records; 2) Utilizing a variety of PC and web based software programs (i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, Sales Force, Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS), or other similar database software) to ensure military pay and personnel transactions are accurately completed within established timelines; 3) Utilizing knowledge in classified and sensitive materials in the routing of correspondence and storage of files and records; 4) Effective oral and written communication (i.e. correspondence, reports, phone calls, and presentations) to provide pay and personnel support; Resume must show documented experience leading a diverse team(s).
