About the Position: Serve as the Senior Military Human Resources (HR) Specialist for the Installation ManagementCommand Directorate (ID), Sustainment Directorate (ISD), Military Human Resources (HR) team responsible for providing technical advice and assistance in various military HR program areas to all levels of management officials within the Installation Management Installation Management Command (IMCOM) Directorate.

Duties

Serve as a staff-level military Human Resources (HR) Specialist with responsibility for providing technical advice and guidance regarding a wide variety of military HR program areas. Analyze significant military HR management issues and develop recommendations and alternative solutions. Preside over the execution and implementation of the Department of Army policy on military HR services programs and ensures level of services are consistent. Prepare and present reports and briefings on program status and recommend action to key staff elements.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 20% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes executing program management, budget, and Installation Status Reporting (ISR) of military human resources (HR); directing military HR practices in the functional areas such as CAC cards, casualty, strength management, awards, evaluations, separations, Integrated Personnel and Pay System-Army (IPPS-A) functionality and personnel actions; evaluating and recommending overall plans and proposals for complex projects; interpreting and analyzing data extractions or reports from IPPS-A; and managing taskings and OPORDs. ???????This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
