About the Position: This position is located at the Logistics Readiness Center at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. Fort Wood is located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County, Missouri. Bordering the installation to the North are the towns of Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2 hour drive to the East along I-44 and Springfield is a little more than an hour's drive to the West of Fort Leonard Wood.
Duties
Research commercial part numbers in FEDLOG and Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (AESIP) for cataloging items in LIS for Shop Stock and Bench Stock.
Compile archived purchasing data for the purposes of budget formulation support and specialized reporting and analyses.
Build catalog files for part numbered items which are ordered through commercial sources.
Investigate receiving documents involving discrepancies.
Make purchases using U.S. Government Purchase Card (GPC).
Perform inventory of items on hand.
Generate reports using a computer database and inventory information.
Operate electric, gasoline, or diesel powered forklift truck in order to lift loads weighing up to 10,000 pounds.
Complete trip tickets, preventive maintenance records and accident reports.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a valid government motor vehicle operator's license authorizing the operation of vehicles.
- and equipment of the type and capacities determined by the supervisor as necessary for accomplishment of the duties of the position.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a forklift operator certificate within 90 days.
- Incumbent is subject to a medical clearance examination prior to employment. This position may require an annual physical or medical surveillance examination.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment when in warehouse areas and operating forklift.
- Must complete GCSS-Army training within 30 days of employment.
- Must complete Government Purchase Card (GPC) training within 30 days of employment.
- This position is covered by the 1996 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968. Persons convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence are not eligible for the position.
- Must be able to pass an Arms, Ammunition and Explosives (AAE) background check to handle weapons parts. Incumbent must maintain AAE Security Certification/Screening IAW AR 190-11.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) utilizing a desktop computer with a Logistics Information System (LIS) or similar application inputting supply type data; 2) functioning as a purchasing agent using the Government Purchase Card (GPC), or similar; 3) maintaining documentation files such as funding, billing, and payment for monthly accounting; and 4) operating motor vehicles with a GVWR of 23,500 pounds or less. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).

Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
