You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST in the DEPUTY PUBLIC WORKS OFFICER (PRRD) of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.
Duties
You will direct Public Works Department administrative functions and ensure consistent practices and processes among all subordinate administrative staff.
You will be principal staff advisor and execution agent for all administrative programs within the Public Works Department.
You will establish, oversee, and sustain an efficient and effective internal process for Public Works Department correspondence.
You will direct completion of consistent and accurate responses to internal and external updates across the matrixed staff.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
FOR THE GS-9: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-7 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Entering and compiling organizational data into charts and graphs utilizing Microsoft Excel; 2.) Preparing and submitting responses to organizational data calls for upper management's review. 3.) Planning, directing, executing and acting as lead advisor on a management directed project or imitative (i.e., personnel and manpower resources); 4.) Preparing and presenting briefs to management utilizing Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel, Visio, and Word 5.) Coordinating with the HRO (Human Resource Office) to research and process personnel issues, advising subordinate managers as required. .
FOR THE GS-7: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-5grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Advising others regarding office procedures (e.g., postal procedures, e-file management, office services, etc); 2.) Conducting research of administrative requirements to assist higher level specialists with audits ; 3.) Identifying and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information (i.e., Personally identifiable information (PII), grievance information, etc.). 4.) Assisting in preparation of responses to organizational data calls for submission to upper management..

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
FOR THE GS-7:
1 full year of graduate level education
or
superior academic achievement
FOR THE GS-9:
master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
