About the Position: Serve as a Financial Management Analyst in support of the 11th Airborne Division and U.S. Army Alaska (USARAK) Headquarters G8, Travel Management Section with organizational responsibility for the accomplishment of the travel and budget execution support functions of the Division activities and units.
Duties
Serve as the Senior Defense Travel Administrator for the Defense Travel System (DTS).
Ensure adequate internal control systems are developed and operative for efficient and effective management of government travel resources.
Serve as the division debt monitor, identify, process, and monitor travel records having a balance due to the government.
Conduct monthly quality assurance audits and compliance sampling to verify the accuracy of travel claims.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes interpreting and applying the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR) to a variety of travel arrangements for such areas as temporary duty, permanent change of station or other travel; and performing budgetary duties such as monitoring and analyzing status of operational funds. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11]).
