You will serve as a STAFF ASSISTANT in the office of Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Research, Development and Acquisition) ASN (RD&A).
Duties
You will receive and review all incoming correspondence and prepares replies to general inquiries to meet command needs.
You will coordinate logistics and administrative support for special events.
You will prepare information and documentation (e.g., invitational letters, programs, price estimates for lodging, dining facilities, catering and social functions, gifts) in support of conferences or other events.
You will prepare travel arrangements, travel orders, or vouchers for department staff.
You will author, prepare, and edit correspondence such as official letters, memorandums, and other documents in support of department staff.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require local travel within the Washington, DC commuting area and possible travel from normal duty station to CONUS locations. You must be able to travel on commercial aircraft.
Qualifications
NK-03: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band (NK-02) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing administrative support, processing, and tracking against guidance; ensuring compliance; managing a Senior Executive's calendar of events; travel coordination for a staff; and coordinating all activities of an office and staff ensuring good communication flow.
