About the Position: The installation rests in the beautiful 'hill and lake' country of Central Texas between Killeen and Copperas Cove and is approximately 60 miles north of the capital city of Austin, 50 miles south of Waco, 160 miles south of Dallas, and 150 miles north of San Antonio. The nearby lakes, Belton and Stillhouse, offer year round outdoor recreation activities.

Duties

As a Senior Budget Analyst, responsible for analyzing program and budget guidance, formulation methods, and execution tools. Serves as the central point of funds control. Ensure the distribution of funds received from higher headquarters is in accordance with approved programs and supports required limitations, floors and special projects/earmarked line items. Advise on the status and availability of funds on programs as well as regulatory aspects and command financial management processes applicable to their programs. Report on the actual use and rate of expenditure of funds against the financial plan and provide written narratives to justify variances.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position required the incumbent to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
  • This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012. Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all DoD and Dept. of Army requirements of this certification program.
