Duties
You will perform masonry and concrete construction, maintenance and repair work.
You will make and repair high-grade wood items such as fine cabinets, furniture, counters and specialty items.
You will perform the full range of journeyman level carpenter tasks in the construction and repair of a wife variety of structural items.
You will finish floors, walls, sills and other cement surfaces with trowels, floats and screeds.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver?s license.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- The incumbent serving in this position may at any time be assigned to a similar position at any site or workstation within the commuting area.
- You may be required to serve as an on-call duty mechanic on a rotational basis. An on-call duty mechanic is required to carry a duty cell phone and duty pager and must remain available to respond on site to after-hour emergencies within two hours.
- You may be designated as ALPHA personnel and required to report for duty or held in a duty status to provide support before, during or after emergency situations, such as destructive weather, disasters or periods of increased security.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. As needed.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to perform the duties of a Maintenance Mechanic tasks under general supervision including: 1) Determining hand tools used to install and repair structural components; 2) Assisting with woodworking techniques using hand tools and shop equipment; 3) Assisting in completing carpentry, masonry, and/or sheet metal construction and repair on existing structures; 4) Following instructions in order to use materials, tools, and equipment required to complete projects.
