 This position is located in the User Experience Design (UXD) Section, Design Division, IT Design & Development Directorate, Office of the Chief Information Officer. 

Duties

The position is located in Web Services. The incumbent is primarily responsible for conceptualizing and designing user interfaces for Library of Congress web properties and positioning the Library of Congress brand online.

Qualifications

Applicants must have had progressively responsible experience and training sufficient in scope and quality to furnish them with an acceptable level of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position without more than normal supervision. Ability to design website and application user experiences and information architectures. ** Ability to interact collaboratively with others. ** Ability to conduct user research, usability testing, and evaluate user experiences. Ability to perform IT research and analysis. Ability to plan and manage user experience designers and other roles on software development projects. Ability to communicate in writing. Ability to communicate effectively other than in writing.
