About the Position: Serves Management Analyst (Medical Readiness) with Medical Command (MEDCOM), Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS), G-8/9, Readiness Analytics Directorate (RAD) located in Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Joint Base San Antonio was created out of an Army fort and several Air Force installations. The oldest of these was Fort Sam Houston, originally established in Alamo City as a Quartermaster Depot in 1845.
Duties
Collects, summarizes, assesses, and reports data and metrics related to Army Medicine readiness programs.
Reviews and analyzes MEDCOM long- and short-term plans and then proposes and advocates adjustments to the MEDCOM Program Development Division to obtain concurrence and approval.
Plans, organizes, and coordinates team study work, with input and support from other analysts and subject-matter experts.
Applies expert knowledge of the delivery of healthcare and related program segments coupled with appropriate quantitative and qualitative methods and techniques to develop standards and performance measures related to Army Medical Readiness.
Presents important trends, issues, opportunities, performance results to the Army Medicine leadership in support of effective executive decision making in overcoming unique challenges and conducting long-term planning.

One year of specialized experience which includes performing data quality management check, monitoring data input and output, assisting with data management, and conducting audits; amending and-or correcting discrepancies or advising staff of data corrections and policy controls. Experience in documenting business, organizational and/or operational requirements and assisting to develop solutions driven by requirements and supported by data to include statistical analysis, research design, and decision support to improve decision making and business practices. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
