Duties
You will execute moderately complex work including production control on various production programs in the areas of formulation development.
You will exercise judgment in resolving issues, establishing guidelines, and overseeing control systems under general supervision.
You will be required to monitor general and program-specific inventory within the plant, not limited to explosive inventory, parts inventory, personal protective equipment inventory
You will be required to achieve and maintain certification to be an explosive handler in order to support plant inventory/tracking objectives.
You will be required to provide regular budgetary and performance reports to senior management.
You will prepare procurement packages required for procurement of components using available procurement methods.
You will prepare requests for bids and submit to prospective vendors.
You will track vendor delivery progress to ensure on time deliveries and they shall work closely with internal and external customers.
You will prepare material inspection requests.
You will ensure appropriate condition code tags are applied to incoming products.
You will provide notification of status and receipt of items to appropriate officials to ensure prompt vendor payment or return of discrepant items.
You will provides close out reports on all programs and insures return of excess materials, tools, and inventory to the appropriate area.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- Some travel may be required.
- Must be capable of obtaining Certification to work in the explosives environment.
- You will be required to lift and/or carry loads/items up to 45 pounds in weight.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals).
Qualifications
For the NT-02:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NT-01 pay band (GS-01 to GS-04 equivalency) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: reading and understandingacquisition processes to perform production controller work in support of various production programs in the areas of formulation development.
For the NT-03: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NT-02 pay band (GS-05 to GS-08 equivalency) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: supporting production controller functions to create procurement data packages for the production of energetic devices.

Education
In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
FOR THE NT-03:
Successfully completed two full years of graduate level education that is directly related to the position being filled.
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
FOR THE NT-2:
Successful completed four years of education above high school level.
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
