Duties
You will execute production control on various production and Research and Development programs in the chemical scale-up area.
You will exercise judgment in resolving issues, establishing guidelines, and overseeing control systems under general supervision in support of the programs executed within the M42 branch.
You will be responsible for control of production programs in which the size, complexity, and importance require coordination, constant monitoring, and resource management (to include funding, materials, and personnel).
You will monitor general and program-specific inventory within the plant, not limited to explosive inventory, parts inventory, PPE inventory, etc.
You will maintain certification to be an explosive handler in order to support plant inventory/tracking objectives.
You will provide regular budgetary and performance reports to senior management.
You will prepare procurement packages required for procurement of components using available procurement methods.
You will prepare requests for bids and submit to prospective vendors.
You will provide notification of status and receipt of items to appropriate officials to ensure prompt vendor payment or return of discrepant items; and provide close out reports on all programs.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
For NT-03: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-02 pay band (GS-5/6/7/8 grade level equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
For NT-02: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-01 pay band (GS-1/2/3/4 grade level equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Education
In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
For NT-03: Successfully completed two full years of graduate level education that is directly related to the position being filled.
OR
For NT-2: Successful completed four years of education above high school level.
