You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Energy, Installations and Environment (Infrastructure and Facilities) at the Pentagon.
Duties
You will plan and conduct analytical studies of organizational elements and work to identify problems and approve resource utilization, administrative support, and management effectiveness.
You will provide advice and counsel on a range of administrative and management support issues, policies, programs, and objectives.
You will serve as the records management liaison ensuring that records are archived in accordance with department policy.
You will provide administrative support and office services for the DASN that involves supply and property management, mail and file services, travel, records and reports, equipment maintenance, vehicle management, and related services.
You will provide for the management of administrative property through maintenance of records, by conducting periodic inventories, disposal of excess property.
You will provide for the requisition, purchase, storage and issuance of office supplies, and such administrative equipment as desks, office machines and filing equipment.
You will plan and schedule domestic travel itineraries, booking reservation, arrange for government transportation of DASN and personnel.
You will respond to routine and non-technical requests for information which may involve determining whether to release information based upon the nature/degree of sensitivity of information and the requestors authority to receive the information.
You will greet visitors, serve as gatekeeper, controlling and directing visitors and callers to appropriate staff.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1. Conducting analytical studies;
2. Providing a wide variety of administrative management and administrative support services (i.e. arranging travel, management analysis, logistic services and supply request, maintaining records and reports, property and records management, human resources management, space and equipment utilization, proofreading correspondence, responding to information requests);
3. Providing guidance, advice, and counsel on a range of administrative and operational Management support issues directly to management/high level officials;
4. Requisitioning, purchasing, storing, and issuing office supplies and such administrative equipment such as desks, office machines and filing equipment, and maintaining account records and purchase and receipt file; and
5. Applying and understanding administrative policies.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify based on equivalent education, as follows:
GS-11:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
