We are looking for motivated Management and Program Analysts to help drive the NIH mission. This announcement will be used to fill positions in several Institutes and Centers throughout the NIH.
Duties
Analyzing and evaluating, on a quantitative or qualitative basis, the effectiveness of programs or operations in meeting established goals and objectives; and analyzing and integrating program financial, technical, and other information.
Developing detailed plans, goals, and objectives for the long-range implementation, administration and change of the assigned program, and developing criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of the program.
Serving as an expert program analyst and providing assistance in one or more of the following areas: policy analysis, program oversight, evaluation activities, strategic planning, and research coordination.
Developing and reviewing legislative, regulatory and budgetary proposals.
Evaluating the content of new or modified legislation, and/or agency policies and procedures for projected impact upon programs and resources.
Making recommendations on new or modified developments, priorities and objectives to improve the organizations program performance.
Requirements

Qualifications
In order to qualify for a Management and Program Analyst, GS-0343 position at the GS-13 level:
You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: Initiating and executing complex admirative/management projects; analyzing and evaluating findings and recommends more efficient economical ways to accomplish workload and program objectives; researching and identifying new concepts and techniques; conducting comprehensive management studies; and identifying and proposes solutions to management problems characterized by their importance, and severity.
You will receive credit for all experience material to the position, including experience gained in religious, civic, welfare, service, and organizational activities, regardless of whether you received pay.
