Incumbent serves as a management or program analyst for an organizational entity of the FAA.

Duties

They provide analysis of assigned programs/management functions and identify actual or potential problem areas, trends, accomplishments, issues and practices. Incumbent plans/conducts a variety of program/management studies and analyses involving one or more of the following general areas: program planning, execution and control; management improvement and control; and business management and control (i.e., program/system planning/evaluation, program performance measurement); management improvement and control (i.e., quality management, organizational planning and development, staffing, utilization, productivity, manpower requirements, work improvement and work methods, work measurement and staffing standards development, records/information management); and business management and control.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)
  • A recent SF-50 is required (See Required Documents for requirements)

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience at the next lower grade level of FV-F/GS-5/7/9 that equipped the applicant with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position is: Working knowledge utilizing Microsoft Excel to download raw data and utilize Excel tools such as formulas, formatting, pivot tables, and graphs/charts to present data and trends in an easy to read format in Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, and Outlook email.Applicants should include examples of specialized experience in their work history.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.Please ensure you answer all questions and follow all instructions carefully. Education

Applicants can qualify based on substituting education for experience. At the FG-11 level, applicants can substitute successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. Applicants can qualify based on a combination of education and work experience. If you are qualifying based on education, your application must show the number of credit hours completed and any degree(s) earned and you must fax your transcripts.
