This position is located in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, in the Facility Maintenance Division.

Duties

Supervises all maintenance of buildings and landscape, and custodial operations. Reports to the facility manager on a regular basis to ensure all maintenance operations are being completed correctly and effectively. Drafts maintenance project plans, specifications, and cost estimates. Exercises independent judgment in carrying out work assignments, setting schedules, deadlines and conducting annual performance evaluations. Administers on-the-job training programs, as well as recommending normal training assignments for employees.

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability To Lead Or Supervise (SCREEN OUT) Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprints reading) Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc. Knowledge of materials Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic) Use of Measuring Instruments If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration. In preparing your application, describe in detail the experience that demonstrates your ability to supervise by planning, organizing, directing, and controlling and inspecting of work involving daily and routine maintenance and operation of buildings, utilities and sanitation to include all the following trades and craft areas: Plumbing, Water, Wastewater, Electrical and Carpentry.
