The primary purpose of this position is to provide a wide variety of support and program management functions and services for the training squadrons in the 12th Operations Group for Pilot Instructor Training (PIT), Intro to Fighter Fundamental Trng (IFF), Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) Fundamentals, Undergraduate RPA Trng (URT), and Basic Sensor Operator Course (BSOC).
Duties
Administers student training management database, including data on student production, elimination, wash backs, medical delays, emergency leaves, and recommendations to resolve any training interruptions whether related to the aforementioned issues or to training asset availability or weather caused deviations.
Creates, operates, monitors, maintains and analyzes database and uses multiple office automation software.
Responsible for the loading and accuracy of all student information in the Training Integration Management System (TIMS).
Establishes and maintains good working relationships.
Advises on and evaluates student management issues at conferences and meetings.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, for the GS-1702, Education and Training Technician Series.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE FOR CURRENT FEDERAL APPLICANTS: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-05, or equivalent in other pay systems that demonstrates the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position. Examples of specialized experience includes basic knowledge of training and educational principles as well as a familiarization of training program administration support, accounting, and methods associated with training programs. Knowledge of basic analyzation and comparison of data and information. Knowledge and understanding of the functional requirements associated with the training programs and possess the ability to draw conclusions from certain trends or comparison. Knowledge of a variety of computer software in order to retrieve and produce informational reports or statistics.

One year at the GS-05 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-07 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of student flow management, student data, records management, and student administration IAW 12 TRS, 12 OG, 12 FTW, 19 AF, and AETC Instructions.
2. Knowledge of a wide variety of support and training program functions and services for PIT, IFF, URT and BSOC.
3. Knowledge of education and training goals and objectives to assist in the management of students.
4. Knowledge of office automation software functions, including but not limited to; email, word processing, spreadsheets, Access, and TIMS.
5. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to gain cooperation from others through courtesy and diplomacy and to establish and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships with a diverse group of individuals.
6. Ability to plan, organize and meet deadlines. Ability to locate, assemble, analyze, and compose statistical information presented in a variety of complex formats for reports, inquiries and technical correspondence.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
