The primary purpose of this position is to provide a wide variety of support and program management functions and services for the training squadron in the 12th Operations Group for Undergraduate Remotely Piloted Aircraft Training (URT). (Cont'd in Duties)
Duties
(Cont'd from Summary) The position provides a wide variety of in/out processing, training and assignment support duties, student record processing and posting, and management analysis and statistics reports.
Duties:
Provides consultation, guidance, and assistance to leadership and students.
Develops, maintains and administers student training management and accounting databases. Ensures accuracy on data including student production, elimination, washback, and proficiency advancement trends and recommends action to resolve problems. Maintains electronic archives of all commander's review material, and student statistical database.
Serves as the single point of contact and representative for dealing with all aspects of URT student washback, elimination and graduation; in addition, in and out processing and follow-on assignment coordination of URT students.
Establishes and maintains good working relationship and performs a variety of customer services duties.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, for the GS-1702, Education and Training Technician Series.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE FOR CURRENT FEDERAL EMPLOYEES: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes, knowledge of extensive body of regulations, policies and precedents affecting AETC formal flying course training operations. Knowledge of a wide range of computer/automated data processing techniques, requirements, methods, sources, procedures, system software/hardware and analytical and diagnostic methods. The ability and knowledge to retrieve and produce information reports or statistics from a variety of software programs. A familiarization of training program administration support, accounting, and methods associated with training programs. The incumbent must be cognizant to suspense's, timelines, and required training documentation. The position requires analyzation and comparison of data and information. Incumbent must be able and skillful of understanding the function requirements associated with the training programs and possess the ability to draw conclusions from certain trend or comparison.

FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS FOR CURRENT FEDERAL EMPLOYEES: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of student flow management, student data, records management, and student administration IAW appropriate 12 FTW, AETC, AFI, CFR regulations or instructions.
2. Knowledge of a wide variety of support and training program function and services for Undergraduate Remotely Piloted Aircraft Training (URT).
3. Knowledge of education and training goals and objective to assist in the management of student registration, student counseling, and student follow on training assignments.
4. Skill in the use of the Training Integration Management System (TIMS) and other load and maintain accurate student information and skill in other computer systems and several software programs to produce high quality slides and reports.
5. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using tact, courtesy, and diplomacy and to establish and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships with a diverse group of individuals.
6. Ability to plan, organize work and meet deadlines.
7. Knowledge of office automation software functions including email, word processing, spreadsheets, data base management and computer functions.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).
