This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health, located in Rockville, Maryland.

Duties

Serving as a senior budget analyst to develop and recommend milestones, objectives, and plans to achieve the agency's long and short-range priorities. Performing budget development, formulation, and execution functions for the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Health (OASH). Supervising the work of budget analysts staff engaged in preparing budget projections, spend plans, processing billing/payments, performing audits, and other budget formulation and execution related duties. Analyzing new, revised, and/or pending regulations to determine budgetary impact on the agency's mission priorities.

Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. Specialized Experience: GS-14: You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-13 level in the Federal service that includes the following: Analyzing budgetary problems in all phases of budget/financial administration. Performing supervisory duties of subordinate staff. Developing new or revised guidance for budgetary/financial programs.
