This is a Direct Hire Authority solicitation utilizing the DHA for Business & Technical Management Career Path (Acq Demo) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This is a DoD Demonstration Project position. Under the Defense Authorization Act, personnel management demonstration programs are operating in numerous Army activities and various other organizations supported by Army civilian personnel centers.

Duties

Serves as a Logistics Management Specialist performing the planning, integration, coordination, analysis, and evaluation in relation to the acquisition and fielding of equipment. Provides integrated logistics support (ILS) and/or input to evaluation plans and reports and develops test design addressing system ILS requirements. Coordinates actions on Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss (FLIPL). Maintains supply records for the organization. Reviews all requests for supplies, parts, and special tools for test support, including both simple and complex items using Unit Level Property Book Unit Supply Enhanced (PBUSE) system. Uses a variety of automated systems to provide supply information for customer support, trace sequences of transactions, etc. Develops new and/or uses existing management tools to assess the effectiveness of customer support provided or measure overall effectiveness of the property accountability program.

Who May Apply: US Citizens Program Executive Office, Command, Control Communications Tactical (PEO C3T) headquartered at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, with offices at Ft Belvoir, VA, Ft Hood, TX and Huntsville, AL develops network centric C3T systems for the digitized Army and fields Joint C3T systems to provide an integrated information system of systems seamlessly linking every sensor, shooter, commander, and support to create a common view of the battlefield. PEO C3T is in an acquisition demonstration project, offers competitive salaries, pay banding, and pay for contribution. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. General Experience: Three years progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least the GS-04 grade level, which includes (1) utilizing aspects of the integrated logistics support process to promote an effective property management system and (2) managing all aspects of equipment receiving, tracking, and shipping operations to support materiel fielding missions. This definition of general experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-01 or GS-04). OR Education: successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as logistics, business administration, etc. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
