DCSA is seeking a training administrator to support the New Employee Experience Onboarding Program. The incumbent will bring a dynamic, customer-centric, and charismatic approach to facilitating training and demonstrate a desire to help new employees acclimate to our agency. Duties

As a Training Administrator (Employee and Leader Development) you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Telework Eligibility: This position is telework eligible, but is not a full time telework position. The incumbent will be required to report to the office on a routine basis.

Qualifications

This position has a Basic Requirement for the 1712: Training Instruction Series 1712 (opm.gov) Individual Occupational Requirements: Education Requirement: Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- education or a subject area related to the position to be filled. *NOTE: Failure to provide transcripts will result in you being rated ineligible for this position. The experience described in your resume will be evaluated and screened from the Office of Personnel Management's (OPMs) basic qualifications requirements. See: Training Instruction Series 1712 (opm.gov) for OPM qualification standards, competencies and specialized experience needed to perform the duties of the position as described in the MAJOR DUTIES and QUALIFICATIONS sections of this announcement by 08/28/2023 Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GS/GG-12 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience as senior instructor or facilitator for in-person and virtual training for adult learners. Experience related to the development of instruction, training needs assessment, and instructional design for adult learners. Administer and facilitate multiple programs, events, and activities requiring multi-tasking, prioritizing, problem-solving, and adapting. Comparing and analyzing information gathered from various sources and affecting broad areas and programs. Customer service that demonstrates empathy, tact, courtesy, problem-solving, and concern. Communicate orally and in writing. Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies: Education/Training Program Administration: Organize, plan, and coordinate the functions, provisions, schedules, and administrative activities, which are required to conduct education and training programs. Manage the organization, operation, and resources to facilitate instruction and future planning. Curriculum Development: Develop training and educational content with corresponding curricular products and services to facilitate competency acquisition. Instructional Delivery and Learner Development: Deliver, provide, and monitor training and education for individuals and groups within learning environments. Tailor and adapt instruction to ensure learners' needs are met and learning outcomes are achieved. Learning and Program Evaluation: Assess the learning outcomes, design, and effectiveness of curricula and training programs, using internal and external assessment methods and tools, to ensure quality and degree of implementation, and to inform instructional decisions.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.

A. Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- education or a subject area related to the position to be filled.

  • Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results.
  • Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis.

  • Superior Academic Achievement does not apply to DCIPS positions.
