This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Acquisition Demo Business and Technical Management to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This is a Systems Coordinator with the Office of Assistant of the Secretary of the Army located in Arlington, VA.

Duties

Advise the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology (ASAALT) leadership in the oversight, management and execution of assigned programs. Perform other special assignments as assigned by the DASC Director, Assistant Deputy for Acquisition Systems Management (ADASM), Deputy Acquisition Systems Management (DASM). Develop and refine the necessary products for assigned programs to include briefings, information papers, and emails, and briefs as required, to facilitate effective communication across stakeholders. Present cost, schedule and performance risk associated with recommended courses of action and alternatives.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • One-year probationary period may be required.
  • Drug testing required prior to appointment and randomly thereafter.
  • Must maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access or access for the duration of employment.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectees must meet position requirement for Advanced certification within 48 months of entrance on duty

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as performing ALL of the following duties: 1) Conducting analysis of technologies and program issues to improve program processes; 2) Providing oversight related to cost, schedule, performance, or risk in support of an acquisition program; 3) Providing advice to senior level management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03 or GS-13).
