About the Position: This is a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist position, the pay band NH-04 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-14 to 15. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities.
Duties
Technical Management: Serves as the primary interface.
Direct and monitor all the efforts of a professional, technical, and administrative workforce engaged in planning, coordinating, and executing the technical aspects.
Resolve highly complex controversial technical and administrative problems and develops policy for guidance in future situations.
Provide logistics and sustainment support for major equipment and/or systems being developed.
Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) planning, funding, management information systems, and matrix organizations and functions providing logistical support.
Plan, direct, coordinate, and review the work of ILS teams through grade GS-14 or equivalent.
Initiate personnel actions, interviews candidates for positions, and makes recommendations and/or selections for appointments, promotions, or reassignments.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires submission of Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually thereafter.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This is a designated Critical Acquisition Position.
- This position requires a 3-year tenure agreement. Must sign DD Form 2888 (Critical Acquisition Position Service Agreement) and execute, as a condition of employment, a written tenure agreement.
- Position is Non-Critical Sensitive (2) requiring a Secret security clearance or the incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Probationary period may be required.
- This position requires temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 30% of the time.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics certification within 48 months as of entrance on duty.

Specialized Experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-03). Specialized Experience: 1) Manage recruitment, career development and training, to retain a high-quality workforce. 2) Monitor resource requirements to determine implications of organizational structure, operating cost, and logistics. 3) Develop long-range plans and specific projects necessary to maintain contract preparation, planning, management and the readiness of major weapon systems, subsystems, and components.4) Experience in logistics management supply, maintenance, and transitioning systems to sustainment. 5)Monitor forecasting, planning, and funding programs to ensure best use of available resources.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH 03/GS13).
