About the Position: Serves as a Strategic Planner to support the planning and execution of analytical war-games in a systematic and rigorous manner to examine operational and strategic level issues, questions, problem sets, and scenarios to inform decision-makers within the Army, the Department of Defense (DoD), and other national security organizations within Center for Army Analysis at Fort Belvoir, VA.

Duties

As a member of a team, you will plan and execute a broad range of operational and strategic level war-games. Maintains liaison with a broad spectrum of analysts engaged in similar activities for the mutual exchange of ideas and information. Formulates and develops methods and techniques for the accomplishment of strategic level and operational level warfighting analysis. Develops appropriate strategic and operational level war-games.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 20% of the time.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
