About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the National Ground Intelligence Center, Transnational Directorate, Collection and Advanced Analytics Division, Charlottesville, VA 22911.
Duties
Serves as branch chief and program manager for the Facilities and Infrastructure Characterization and Analysis (FICA) Branch, Collection and Advanced Analytics Division, Transnational Directorate.
Performs analytical, administrative, project management, and coordination duties necessary to implement and execute the FICA program at NGIC. Maintaining close, collaborative relationships with FICA partners and customers.
Serves as the program manager for the development of national-level intelligence production.
Performs a variety of analytical, project and coordination duties to administer their design, development, and implementation for the Army, DOD, and intelligence community.
Oversees the tracking of production and mission activity through mission management tools for the purposes of trend analysis and informing decisions.
Serves as chief of the FICA branch, providing clear, positive leadership and mentorship focused on developing the individual in order to support mission success.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on an SBI with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) travel may be required, up to 25% of the time.
