About the Position: This position is with the 99th Readiness Division, Casualty Branch, Program and Services, Human Resources Office located at Fort Dix, NJ.

Duties

Supervise subordinates within the department. Prepare and present briefings, reports and correspondence. Provide counseling and resolve issues for subordinate employees. Review and edit job descriptions of employees within the organization. Develop and implement civilian and military personnel policies and plans. Manage human resource programs. Coordinate and conduct personnel training. Provide advisory assistance to Headquarters on civilian/military personnel matters. Resolve complaints/grievances from staff within the organization. Advise employees on resolution of human resources management issues.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing policies or researching and analyzing regulations related to military human resources; providing training; monitoring or directing military personnel functions; building teams and developing subordinate staff. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-11). Some Federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer ServiceManages and Organizes InformationManaging Human ResourcesProblem SolvingTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
