About the Position: This position is located at: 99th Readiness Division, Director, Human Resource Office, Fort Dix, New Jersey.
Duties
Write instructions to announce and implement procedures on diverse and complex military personnel management programs.
Coordinate with the Judge Advocate General (JAG) on judicial actions.
Interpret regulations, directives, and reports pertinent to these functions.
Provide authoritative technical advice to Major Subordinate Commands on personnel issues.
Assist in the development of Command budget input relative to military personnel management operations.
Monitor the accomplishment of the more difficult military personnel functions for the Command.
Administer as the Command authority for special requirements and program.
Advise subordinate units on difficult military personnel matters.
Effect minor disciplinary measures.
Identify training needs of employees to assure the conduct of such training.
Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes; 1) utilizing knowledge of military personnel regulations or policies to manage or direct military personnel programs; 2) providing guidance on military personnel matters; 3) and recommending solutions to identified military personnel problems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
