Duties
You will plan and coordinate the design, development, testing, installation, and support of new and modified systems, including security applications; hardware and software in accordance with applicable JSIG standards.
You will monitor, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve system malfunctions.
You will create and maintain documentation of IT systems and infrastructure to include configuration standards, diagrams, historical and trending information.
You will oversee or conduct backup and recovery tasks to prevent loss of data and system downtime.
You will perform continuous monitoring of information systems and user compliance in accordance with organizational policies.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 451 level Intermediate (I) within 12 months of appointment.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band (DS-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Installing, configuring, testing, and evaluating software, tools, and utilities; 2) Assessing security methods and systems to monitor, prevent or limit the loss of IT resources due to unauthorized access, destruction, disclosure, tampering, or alteration; and installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware/software systems; 3) Demonstrating knowledge and experience with monitoring system performance, IT system operations and storage utilization; 4) Managing user accounts and assets and assigns and updates security permissions on the network according to security policy. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
