You will serve as a Supervisory IT Specialist (SYSADMIN) in the Ranges/Targets OPS & Labs Group, Point Mugu Sea Range Department, Sea Range Data Systems Division, Sea Range IT Branch of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV POINT MUGU.
Duties
You will support the continued authorization of systems and spaces to meet Point Mugu Sea Range Cyber and Physical Security requirements, while ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of system data is maintained.
You will provide the people, skills, knowledge, facilities, equipment, and processes to set up, operate, maintain, upgrade and certify equipment or interconnected systems of equipment.
You will lead, organize, and staff an organization of approximately 35 civilians and contractor computer scientists, computer engineers, and/or information systems specific personnel.
You will be responsible for the technical operation, maintenance and sustainment of assigned systems.
You will provide direction and actively participating in the technical tasks of the personnel being supervised.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final top secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 451 level Advanced within 12 months of appointment.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NM-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Develops networks and builds alliances; collaborates across boundaries to build strategic relationships and achieve common goals; 2) Develops the competencies of others to perform and contribute to the organization by inspiring and providing a learning environment of ongoing feedback and opportunities to learn through formal and informal methods, enabling employees to address skill gaps and realize their highest potential; 3) Develop and promulgate Information Technology strategy, policy, guidance, and plans and monitor plans to ensure consistency and compliance; 4) Demonstrated experience related to range operations, with respect to Information Technology and Cybersecurity, leadership, and/or interpersonal communication.
Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
