Duties
Being a Training Technician makes you a valuable member of the FLETC team and mission. This position is located in the Office of the Associate Director for Training Ops, Technical Training Operations Directorate, Investigative Operations Division, Forensics and Special Investigative Skills Branch located in Glynco, GA. This position will provide technical support work for Instructors assigned to the division. Projects involve a variety of formalized training and instructional services for FLETC, and participating organization personnel assigned to national and international sites.

- Current and former federal employees within the General Schedule (GS) must meet the time-in-grade requirements outlined in the "Qualifications" section of this announcement.

- Overtime work may be required.
- This is a bargaining unit position.

The qualification requirements listed below must be met by the closing date of this announcement.You qualify for the GS-09 grade level if you possess the following:SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-08 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience performing a variety of administrative processes, operations and training program support such as instructor and facility scheduling; training material, supply, and equipment acquisition; and training program resource management.As a general rule, education is not creditable above GS-5 for most positions covered by this standard; however, graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position.
The first assessment will consist of skilled-based questions designed to evaluate the degree to which you possess the skills needed to perform the duties of the positions being filled. These questions are scored, and you must score at least 85 out of 100 points in order to be invited to participate in the second assessment.
The second assessment is the Performance Assessment Network System (PANS) which is a predictive assessment that measures your cognitive ability and soft skills. This assessment may take more than an hour and a half to complete; portions are timed; and may include videos. If you feel you have a disability that warrants additional time, please follow the instructions to request a reasonable accommodation (RA) prior to beginning the external assessment. Once you start the assessment you will no longer be able to make such a request. The complete application package must be submitted by 11:59 PM (ET) on the closing date of the announcement to receive consideration even if you have a pending RA request.
PLEASE NOTE: Scores obtained after completing the Performance Assessment Network System (PANS) are valid for 6 months. You will not be prompted to complete the PANS assessment if you have previously completed it within the last 6 months.
