This position is part of the US International Development Corporation, Office of Chief Executive, Chief Risk Office.
As a Senior Data Analyst you will work in conjunction with the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) within DFC to ensure enterprise risks across the DFC are considered in aggregate.
Duties
As a Senior Risk Analyst you will:
Identify and conduct in-depth analyses of areas of risk to support the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) in forecasting the International Development Finance Corporation's (DFC) risk management needs and oversees the development and implementation of an integrated risk management framework for the DFC.
Work with the CRO to recommend and promote best practices in risk management and makes sound recommendations to the CRO that are thorough, accurate, and authoritative. Make recommendations and prepare guidance concerning which options are most appropriate.
Conduct analyses, comparison studies of programs to compares existing DFC program-level risk-management practices against public and private sector "best practices", including those of other international development finance institutions. Develop recommendations/ draft action plans to further formalize risk management practices across the DFC. Review existing program level risk reporting and work with the CRO to enhance where necessary.
Suggest and conduct arduous quantitative and qualitative analyses on various assigned risks areas including credit, market, liquidity, operational, governance, information technology, and reputational risk.
Support the CRO by formulating and recommending process and procedures of an integrated enterprise risk management framework with emphasis on analyzing and developing policy, mitigation of risks, determination, measurement and monitoring of risk appetite, and understanding the interrelationships of various types of risk.

Qualifications
Status candidates must meet time-in-grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade level).
Applicants must meet all eligibility and qualification requirements no later than the closing date of this announcement.
TIME-IN-GRADE: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b).
You may qualify at the GS-14 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirements:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your ability in all of the following:
1. Experience developing and implementing an Enterprise Risk Management program with or within a government entity.
2. Experience analyzing and creating risk management policies and procedures with or within a government entity.
3. Experience analyzing organizational strategy, operations, and compliance to mitigate risks, while maximizing potential opportunities.
4. Experience communicating and reporting organizational risks' results and information, regarding operational, financial, reputational, legal, and other types of risks, to all levels of the agency.
Note: Education is not substitutional at this grade level.
