You will serve as a SECURITY ASSISTANT (OFFICE AUTOMATION) in the NAVAL INSTALLATIONS COMMAND (CNIC) of NS NORFOLK SECURITY DETACHMENT.
Duties
You will account for badges and their associated accesses for all government, contractor, and extended visitors through the maintenance of the badge tracking system.
You will prepare documents (e.g., detailed reports, forms, and citations) to record all law enforcement incidents.
You will enter data into security forces database (e.g., issuance to assure eligibility, entry to the designated area identified).
You will answer telephones and give information to callers, take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing clerical support to an organization by maintaining files; 2) Reviewing and preparing correspondence; 3) Using databases, answering and directing visitors and telephone calls to the appropriate office; and 4) Approving access rosters and ensuring updates are posted promptly at designated access points for approved visitors.
